In 2015, same sex marriage was legalized in the state of Florida. This legalization has opened up a wide range of same sex wedding possibilities for same sex couples. Now many couples who never dreamed they would ever marry are looking for locations to celebrate their legal marriage.

While the state of Florida has deemed same sex marriages legal, unfortunately not all wedding venues allow same sex marriages. Furthermore, the list of accepting places starts to get even less when churches are involved. In Central Florida there are not many churches that allow same sex weddings.

Thankfully there are a handful of churches in the Central Florida area that do allow same sex marriages. One of these accepting churches is the First Congregational Church in Winter Park. The church is located right here in beautiful Winter Park and is part of the Winter Park Wedding Company. At First Congregational Church of Winter Park, they really respect “Love is Love”.
If you or someone you know is looking to plan a same sex marriage, please contact us at the Winter Park Wedding Company. We would love to be a part of your most special day!
The Sanctuary in the First Congregational Church in Downtown Winter Park is a large traditional image of a church (See below) and also was the first ever church in Winter Park. The current building was rebuilt on the site of the original wooden church built in 1884. The Church is very liberal and welcomes same sex weddings.
The Winter Park Wedding Chapel is a small intimate chapel situated in its own wing in a building just west of the Sanctuary. There is also a link to more information about the Chapel below.
